Those of you who have been with us a while remember that our original concept was matching up bloggers with guest posters. The process got to be very cumbersome (Curse you, spammers!), so we stopped to regroup. But now we are ready to take it on again!
We are starting by offering a way for bloggers who want to receive guest posts to run a free ad listing their needs. Interested guest posters will contact them directly. This is all new, so there may be some bumps along the way, but here is how it will work:
If you have a blog and want to solicit guest posts, go to http://www.bloggerlinkup.com/guest-posts/place-listing/ and submit your request.
Before you do that, set up a page on your site that explains what your needs are and how guest bloggers can submit their posts. Your process can be whatever you want it to be, and you can establish whatever requirements you want EXCEPT that you may not charge for running a post. Want to see an example of what such a page might look like?
When you submit your request be sure to link to the page where you describe your requirements.
You may upload one or two photos with your listing. It’s not required, but it can jazz up your listing and make it look more attractive to guest bloggers.
Your listing will have to be approved before it will appear here on the Blogger LinkUp site. Your site will be reviewed against our quality guidelines before approval. Once approved, it will remain on the site for 30 days. You will be notified when the listing is up for renewal, and you may renew the listing as many times as you wish.
There is currently no charge to publish your listing requesting guest posts.
Any of these terms may change at some time in the future.
If you would like to guest post on blogs, go to this page and look for a blog that covers your topic(s). When you find one that is a good fit, follow their guidelines to submit a post. (Many bloggers want you to send them your topic first, before you write the post. That allows them to provide suggestions on the angle to take in the post and saves you from writing a post that isn’t needed.)
If you have comments or questions about any of this, drop me an email. (My email address is cathy at this site’s URL.)
